I was at Thespian States competition last week and we were doing a dance workshop. It was for African dance and the teacher was teaching us a dance based on war and banishing things. She started listing things to ban and asked others what they wanted to ban. People stated things such as war, cancer, etc. and then I just yelled out “Homophobia!” I have to admit that I was filled with joy when the room started cheering. What made my day though was when this one guy started bellowing “Who said that?!” and I shyly raised my hand. He walked over to me and gave me one of the best hugs ever and asked me if I was gay. I told him no, that I was bisexual and instead of getting disgusted like a lot of people do he just gave me another hug and then walked away. He was obviously gay, and it made me feel great to have somewhat of an impact on someone. And it also made me realise just how much I really love Thespians :D.
“Robin Scherbatsky is many things: friend, confidante, occasional guest star in some confusing dreams that remind me a woman’s sexuality is a moving target.”—Lily Aldrin [HIMYM 5x3] (Submitted by itsnotgracie)
tonight, i realized how gay I actually am. I heard the song "I know what boys like" and panicked thinking it was my iTunes (my parents don't know I'm a lesbian yet you see), before realizing it was my brother watching family guy.
In reality, my iTunes was playing Elton John :)
