I was talking to my biology teacher about genes and DNA, and we started discussing whether or not people are born gay. In the middle of our conversation one girl from my class interrupted to say
“I don’t think people are born gay. Rachel from glee has two gay dads and she is straight!”
I couldn’t decide what was worse, that she had absolutely no grasp of how biology or genetics work, or that her scientific proof came from a fictional show where people spontaneously burst into song on a regular basis.
