there is nothing satirical about calling dan savage a dickbag. he is the worst kind of spokesman. 

and as for him being a champion of the LGBTQ community, no. he is just one of the most accessible ones to mass media and straight people, and with his privilege comes a capacity for his obvious prejudices to be swung around without thought and do damage to the most marginalised members of our community. i don’t want him as a champion. if you want a pro or even neutral blog in regards to dan savage, make it yourself. this ain’t it.
