Coming out stories: next move?

Just want to get a consensus, considering there’s still 100+ submissions to process, even with the painful process of not publishing ones that ring too familiar those already shared. There’s been various feedback on the volume of them, and I’m beginning to worry I can’t find enough other content to mix up with them.

Option 1 - New side-project tumblr. It would mean people would need to resubmit their stories there if they wanted to share, and we’d also accept all stories of coming out, regardless of if they’re funny or serious, happy or sad.

Option 2 - Keep posting them here, publish the majority, just weeding a few out that aren’t really funny or too similar to ones already submitted.

Option 3 - Keep posting them here, but only publish a pick of the best.

It’s up to you guys. Reply with your vote of 1, 2 or 3!

Who are your LGBTQ heroes?

EDIT: And I completely get if you consider a fictional character a hero. Them being fictional doesn’t stop them inspiring you.

What is your earliest postive queer memory?

Queer/LGBT related.

One of mine: When I was 9-ish, and my sister 5-ish, I remember her telling my aunt she wanted to marry her best (female) friend. My aunt’s nonchalant comment: “When you’re older, you’ll probably be able to.” And now, slowly but surely, marriage equality is spreading.

What are your favourite queer-themed/inclusive films?

I want to make mondays ‘Movie Monday’, and post some special film-related funny stuff. But I’m not a huge film watcher, so I need some suggestions!
