RadFeminist Scorpion Meme

This is a meme satirising anti-trans (also racist, ableist) things spouted by “radfems”. Proceed with caution if that kind of stuff might upset you.

I had a transgender Barbie… My mom wouldn’t buy me a Ken.

I don’t understand the existence of transphobia beyond sheer stubbornness in terms of how close-minded you are.

Let’s just say you have a Coke bottle, but what’s in that Coke bottle tastes, smells, looks, and thus quite clearly is Sprite.

Why would you insist that what you’re dealing with is Coke and can’t possibly be anything else?

And I mean, even if you don’t subscribe to the school of thought that informs that possibility (that gender and sex tend to refer to social and biological definitions respectively), what possible real inconvenience does adopting a few different pronouns to make someone who hasn’t wronged you in any way shape or form just a little more comfortable with themselves?

That’s selfish as hell.

Transgender ‘Thailand’s Got Talent’ Contestant Stuns Audience (VIDEO)

A recent “Thailand’s Got Talent” contestant shocked audiences by revealing herself as male-to-female transgender when her beautiful soprano morphed seamlessly into a masculine tenor midway through her debut performance.

Though male-to-female transgender operations are reportedly fairly common in Thailand, the performer’s dual range certainly surprised the judges, who said they were “dumbfounded” but nonetheless praised her vocal prowess.

Is your queue full of a lot of posts or am I being ignored? :( It concerns me that I'll send you multiple submissions relating to transgender things and you don't post them after weeks, but you'll submit even more recent things. Is this blog not trans-friendly or something? I'm about to just give up and unfollow since this is making me feel uncomfortable and unwanted.

This tumblr is trans*-friendly if;

  • you submit correctly
  • the content is not a repeat of something posts recently (last few months)
  • the content is funny
  • the content is indeed positive

I’m not trans*, so I think it’s only appropriate that I’m careful with the trans*-related content I post. There is generally less positively-humorous trans* content out there, and I don’t want to hurt anyone by posting everything vaguely related just to have more trans* content on the blog. You guy have to tell me when I fuck up, because I have before and I will again.

I get quite a surprising amount of submissions with anti-trans* sentiment (“LOL let’s gawp at these weird [slur]” is NOT positive humour, folks, stop it). Also, tracking trans*-related tags is kind of awful for some of the bigotry you come across, so it’s not as easy to find content as it is the other letters of our lovely long acronym.

If you have things which are pro-trans* and funny, I urge you to submit them.

People think you’re messing around with nature. They don’t understand that nature messed around with you to begin with, so it’s only payback.

We’re two boys, which makes us gay; and then we’re two female-bodied people, which makes us gay; and then we’re trans, which makes us, you know, a whole other side of gay. And so you have this whole trifecta of queerness working for us. So when someone drives by and screams “faggot”, I’m just like “you have no fuckin’ IDEA!

Transgender Day of Remembrance

I hope you’re remembering today the trans folk who have lost their lives to transphobic violence, and are so often ignored in mainstream and queer media. Do not let them be forgotten.
